    Introduction

    Newport Coast is the southernmost section of the Newport Beach. Newport Beach is located in Orange County. Newport Coast was incorporated into Newport Beach in 2001. This is a distinctive area in Newport Beach, which is home to both Crystal Cove and Pelican Hill. Newport Coast encompasses 7.2 square miles, 7.0 square miles are land and .2 square miles are water. The population of Newport Coast is approximately 10,000 people. Newport Coast is well known for its amazing views; this is due to its location in the San Joaquin Hills above Crystal Cove State Park. Newport Beach is located halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Residents are a fifteen minute drive from the John Wayne Airport, Hoag Hospital, the University of California at Irvine and The Orange County Performing Arts Center.

    Newport Coast was originally designed by the Irvine Company as a master planned community. Newport Coast has a large array of living options to choose from; studio apartments to custom built, ocean view estates. There are many options when it comes to view, neighborhood amenities, architectural styles and price. There are 27 residential neighborhoods to choose from, each with its own personality, such as, Cassis, Pelican Hill, Crystal Cove Custom Estates, and Trovare. Views from Newport Coast homes include the Pacific Ocean, Newport Harbor, Newport Bay, surrounding mountains and canyons, City Night Lights and picture perfect sunsets. On clear days views stretch from Laguna Beach to Palos Verde. Newport Coast has both gated and non-gated neighborhoods. Home prices range from 2 million dollars for a small condo to 8 million plus dollars for an ocean view custom view estate.

    Students in Newport Coast attend either Newport Mesa Unified Schools or Laguna Beach Unified Schools, if they live in Crystal Cove. Laguna Beach Unified School District has two elementary schools; Top of the World Elementary and El Morro Elementary, one middle school; Thurston Middle School and one high school; Laguna Beach High School. Newport Coast students attending schools in the Newport Mesa Unified district, go to Newport Coast Elementary School, Ensign Middle School and Newport Harbor High. These are both award winning school districts. In addition, there are many private schools such as California Pacific Charter Schools, Carden Hall, Christ by Sea Um Children's Center, Sage Hill School and The Susan Phillips Day School.

    Newport Coast has year-round gorgeous weather. There are many outdoor activities to take advantage of this. Surfers catch world class waves at the legendary "Wedge." Newport Coast and Newport Beach have several yacht clubs and Newport Beach is home to the dock and dine program. There are many golf courses to choose from. Enjoy the sunshine walking and jogging along the pier and boardwalk. Most neighborhood homeowners' associations provide pools, spas and tennis courts.
